Nearly 12 million tons of textile waste is generated each year in the U.S. – that’s almost 80 pounds tossed in the landfill per person. As a company that recognizes our dependence on a healthy environment, we believe that it’s no longer enough to think solely in terms of where our products come from. Committing ourselves to using only environmentally conscious materials and sustainable manufacturing processes was a given. Then we went a step further and developed a recycling program that helps to close the loop on the lifecycle of our product. Here’s how it works: Purchase a Recycle a Tee and wear it for as long as you like. When you’re ready, recycle it and receive a 25% store credit.* There are two ways to recycle – choose the one that works best for you. Recycle Locally: Donate your Recycle a Tee items to any local charity such as Goodwill or Salvation Army. Log in to your account to let us know that you’ve chosen to recycle locally. A 25% store credit will be applied to your account. or Let Us Recycle for You: Send it back to us. We pay for the shipping. If the item is wearable, we’ll donate it to a charity near us. If not, we’ll send it to a textile recycling plant, as we do with all of our factory’s textile scraps. * A limit of one credit can be applied for each purchase. |
